Sticky sweet, amber bubbles boil
A pinch of this, a dash of that, and a delicate foam begins to form
It’s ready
The mixture spills onto the parchment with hot intensity
The glossy curves settle into every side
Pumpkin seeds peek through the top
Rest
As everything cools, the gloss fades into an opaque cinnamon-colored crust
